$499,000 settlement for failure to recognize bowel perforation

$499,000 settlement in an adult wrongful death without dependents case against a general surgeon for failing to recognize that the patient had a bowel perforation in connection with a colonoscopy procedure. The patient subsequently developed sepsis and died of complications of sepsis.
